Some Brazilian flavour this morning via Brazilian artist Digitaldubs. Lyrics come via the late, great Sugar Minott. Complicated People is lifted from the upcoming release on Scotch Bonnet that is expected (hopefully on vinyl) at somepoint in July.

If you haven’t heard this record before, you’re in for a real treat. Every track has a firm favourite of this blog, and there is only a handful who haven’t featured heavily thus far.

It is the latest album from Mungo’s Hi Fi, who - true to form - bring in some brilliant artists, including Soom T, Mr Williamz and Sugar Minott, whose appearance at the very beginning of the LP sets the barrier almost impossibly high.

Enough of chatter though, get stuck into the Glaswegian soundsystem’s tunes. It was released through their own Scotch Bonnet Records, and you can pick it up on vinyl for £13.

Let me slip you something nice today. This is Mungo’s Hi Fi and Soom T pairing up again for the former’s fantastic Forward Ever LP released at the end of last year.

It’s a little mellow for both Mungo’s and Soom, but that’s no bad thing. Far from it, Soundboy Police is laid back but incessant, one of many highlights from one of last year’s standout LPs.

When buying records, try and buy direct from the label. Fortunately Mungo’s label is also the fantastic, oft-linked to digidub emporium Scotch Bonnet. Get it there for £13.

Mungo’s Hi Fi are from Glasgow and will feature heavily over the coming months. I was trying to blog a song of theirs about cheese, but then realised it was a private track on Soundcloud. Instead here’s a better one featuring I-Bogle, who is from Kingston and only appears online on MySpace, like he’s from 2002 or something…

You can pick the record up on 12” for £5.50 from Mungo’s Scotch Bonnet record label, which contains a fine digidub shop that pulls in some releases from other fine labels, including United Forces of Dub, who I’ve blogged about before.
